Berks County Department of Agriculture will celebrate its second annual National Ag Day
and Open House on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Berks County Agricultural Center located on 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport, 19533. The area is rich in history, forests and farmland, according to Sheila Miller, Berks County's agricultural coordinator.

B.A.R.N organizes to support leading industry
A newly created non-profit organization has been formed in Berks County to assist the agricultural industry. Formerly known as the Berks Farm-City Council, the Berks Agricultural Resource Network (B.A.R.N.) will be expanding its original base and bringing in new advocates for the food and fiber industries of Berks County.
